Dodgem bumper cars must operate within an enclosed area with a hardened concrete floor and a surrounding crash track. The crash track is typically 8cm above the ground, for a total height of 18cm. It’s typically constructed from welded 100x100x2mm steel pipes, with outriggers at the bottom secured to the ground with expansion wire. The floor can be approximately 20cm thick concrete or tile. A fence should also be built around the area to prevent non-visitors from entering.
Management of the dodgem bumper car site is crucial. Bumper cars must be started and stopped in batches, with no passengers allowed to board or exit during a ride. This effectively prevents collisions and ensures safety. Visitor information should be posted at the entrance, reminding visitors of important precautions, such as compliance with regulations, prohibiting eating and drinking, requiring children to be accompanied by their parents, and orderly boarding and exiting.
